Course Content:

Exploring Different Subjects: Experimenting with drawing different subjects, including still life, landscapes, portraits, and figures. Developing observational skills and capturing the essence of the subject through drawing.

Understanding Light and Shadow: Studying the principles of light and shadow, and learning how to create depth, volume, and dimension in drawings through shading techniques. Exploring different shading methods such as stippling, hatching, and blending.

Composition and Design: Exploring principles of composition, such as balance, contrast, and focal points, to create visually compelling drawings. Learning how to compose drawings effectively and tell a story through composition.

Exploring Different Media: Experimenting with different drawing media, including graphite pencils, charcoal, ink, and pastels. Learning the unique properties and techniques associated with each medium and discovering your preferred medium for drawing.

Developing Personal Style: Encouraging personal expression and experimentation to develop your unique artistic style. Exploring different approaches to drawing and finding inspiration from other artists and art movements.
